Ceylon Foundation for Economic Policy-Analysis (CFEP Sri Lanka)
Welcome to the Ceylon Foundation for Economic Policy-Analysis (CFEP Sri Lanka).
I am Pasan Wijayawardhana, Founder of CFEP Sri Lanka, and I am honored to introduce this youth-led economic policy think tank, established in 2024 with a clear and timely vision.
Sri Lanka stands at a critical juncture where informed, forward-thinking economic policy is essential for sustainable development and national resilience. However, there has long been a gap in two key areas: the absence of a dedicated professional platform for economics, and the lack of a national space to nurture and empower young economists. CFEP Sri Lanka was founded to address these challenges.
Our mission is to create a dynamic and inclusive platform where young minds can engage in rigorous economic analysis, contribute to public discourse, and shape policy directions grounded in research and innovation.
CFEP operates through four specialized departments:
Each department is committed to advancing evidence-based policy solutions in its respective domain, while fostering collaboration, critical thinking, and leadership among emerging economists.
As a youth-led initiative, we believe in the power of ideas, the importance of intellectual independence, and the responsibility of the next generation to contribute meaningfully to national development.
We invite students, researchers, professionals, and policymakers to engage with CFEP Sri Lanka—whether through research, dialogue, or partnership—as we work together to build a stronger economic future for our nation.
Keep up with our latest research findings, policy analysis, events, and economic insights that shape Sri Lanka's economic discourse.
